Welcome to the DMS/DHS Media Center's website.  We are here to support our students in their quest to become leaders and learners.  Our mission is to support the school's instructional program by ensuring learners are able to independently inquire, gain, use, and share knowledge.   We strive to be a safe place where students can have open and flexible access to library resources and services that support their educational and personal goals. 

We utilize flex scheduling for both schools with teachers signing up for available times.

To reach the library you can call the middle school (256-773-7723) and press 7 or dial the library extension 26172.

Since our media center is shared with the high school some books contain mature themes or language.  Fifth and sixth graders are not allowed to check out these books but seventh and eighth graders can with parental permission.  Forms for seventh and eighth grade students can be found under the parents section or by clicking on library links on the left.
