DMS is located on the western boarder of Morgan County, Alabama within the rural community of Danville. Our school neighbors Danville High School and is within a 2 minute drive from Danville Neel Elementary. While Danville is an unincorporated community, DMS is strongly supported by local churches, businesses, community members, parents, and NUCOR, our proud partner in Education.

Every Student Matters. Every Moment Counts.

Danville Middle School is home to approximately 400 students in grades 5th through 8th and around 30 staff members to include support personnel, teachers, and administrators.

DMS has high expectations for everyone involved in the school. Following the Morgan County vision of "Students Today and Leaders Tomorrow", numerous leadership and learning opportunities are available to the students and teachers alike. Academics are a top priority as well as meeting the needs of each individual student. Teachers here at DMS use data-driven insights, research-based teaching methods and strategies, and multiple assessments to guide instruction. Our students at DMS are 1-1, meaning that they are all provided with a school-issued Chromebook to enhance their learning experiences and 21st century skills. Teachers and students alike utilize various technologies, tech tools, and platforms on a daily basis.
